Two men reported in connection with alleged train assault on teenager
Two men have been arrested in connection with assaulting a teenager on a train to Barrhead.
The men allegedly attacked the boy on the train between Glasgow and Barrhead stations, before getting off.
A spokesman for British Transport Police confirmed: “Two men, aged 26 and 27 years, are subject of a report to the local Procurator Fiscal in connection with the alleged assault on a 16-year-old boy on board the 16.42 Glasgow Central to Kilmarnock service on Saturday 14 January 2012.”
Enquiries are ongoing to identify others believed to have been involved in the incident which occurred shortly after departure.
